After another late party aboard the Summit, we started off with some coffee and pastries at Cafe Al Bacio. We had yet to see what the buffet had to offer for breakfast so we went there to try some of the offerings. It was still pretty crowded and with no self serve it does take a bit longer but it wasn’t too bad. We grabbed some hightop seats that provided a nice view of the Dockyard.
Morning trivia was at 10:15 which called our names before venturing out. With a score of 10/15, we tied the same lady as yesterday! This time however, we were victorious on the tie-breaker. It was the first team to get the question right. Eventually we did guess that a turtle can also breathe out its booty, so we won! The visual trivia was immediately after so we decided to stay and play. The category was Famous Canadians. We scored 10/15 and the winning team scored 14/15. The weather was looking ominous so we decided it was Solarium time instead. I did some writing and played some Word Hunt against Veronica. I enjoyed an Aperol Spritz which they do a very nice job of making. We watched the rain hitting the roof but noticed it was slowing down. Eventually, the rain stopped and we could see some sun. Instead of having the buffet for lunch, Veronica had the idea to try a Bermuda fish sandwich at the Bonefish ashore for lunch, so we returned to the cabin to grab our things. The Bonefish was a popular choice for lunch. I thought we might have to wait but we were seated right away. We started lunch with two rum swizzles so we could compare to yesterday’s. They were good but the ones we had at Frog and Onion were better. For lunch we shared onion rings and the fish sandwich. The onion rings were good and served with sweet chili sauce just like yesterday however, Frog and Onion wins this as well. The fish sandwich was a star though, it was snapper on raisin bread. It was a very large sandwich so I am glad we shared. We think both options are solid choices for a snack or lunch at the Dockyard.. We did a little walk around the Dockyard after lunch and made our way back to the ship so we could go to more trivia with Luca. We saw him preparing the lounge and asked him "what did he do in the Dockyard?". He was confused until we showed him a picture of the drink named “Is Luca Loco. ?”. This gave him a nice chuckle. The first trivia set was riddles. We scored a perfect 15/15 and changed our name from Maxwell’s Silver Hammer to Is Luca Loco. It was followed by Name that Tune with the DJ. The category was classic rock and we scored a respectable 27/30 for second place. Veronica went to take a shower before dinner so I stopped at the martini bar. Today I tried the Martinez. Since dinner was late tonight, I grabbed a little snack at the buffet to enjoy before I got ready. Veronica lightly napped a bit and I wrote and relaxed. We were still ready early for our 8pm dinner so decided to watch the 7pm show in the theater. Tonight’s show was What a Wonderful World which was a tribute to Louis Armstrong. It featured the show band leader on trumpet. He was very talented and even added a touch of humor to the show. We both enjoyed the show and when it was done it was perfect timing to go to our reservation. Tuscan Grille is one of three specialty restaurants aboard Celebrity Summit. It is Italian meets Steakhouse. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and lots of great menu choices. I ordered a Negroni while looking at the menu to prepare my digestion for a big meal. Along with the bread service, the server cuts fresh basil into olive oil. For our starters, I chose the crab cake and Veronica had the burrata. We also shared the antipasto board since we enjoy a good charcuterie. My crab cake was a huge portion for a starter, much larger than anything I’ve had in Blu! The antipasto was a nice variety and good quality. Veronica liked the burrata with tomato but it was another huge portion. We both chose the filet for our dinner. I picked garlic mashed potatoes with broccolini as my sides and Veronica had broccolini and cacio e pepe. The sides were good; however, we found the cacio e pepe to be quite bland. The steaks were cooked nicely and the meat was a good quality. I stepped out after this course and when I returned, the maitre’d, Mr. B (according to name tab) escorted me back to our table. He took our dessert order personally and added one more of his choosing. We shared the spumoni doughnuts, zabaglione strawberry shortcake, and his recommendation, limoncello cheesecake. We both loved the doughnuts the most. The pastry was filled with pistachio custard and it was served with gelato and delicious Amerena cherries. The strawberry shortcake was pretty dry, but the strawberries and cream were still good. We actually preferred the limoncello cheesecake that we were hesitant to order. The cheesecake is a must-try for anyone who loves either lemon or cheesecake. After dinner, we decided to check out the Majority Rules game show. The cruise director was very funny and his Star Wars impressions were pretty amazing. It is an entertaining game to play and watch as some teams have really funny answers. We only went against the majority twice so we ended up winning the game! Our prizes were two Celebrity baseball caps. We weren’t quite ready for bed so we decided to hit the casino. It was after one when we made our way back to the cabin. I heard there was not much nightlife on Celebrity Summit but I have had some really fun late nights.
